The project "Entrepreneurship
and Youth: Sharing creativity and social Initiatives” is in its intermediate
phase.
The project "Entrepreneurship and Youth: Sharing
creativity and social Initiatives”, is an initiative of Gantalcalá Association (Spain)
together with other organization from
Italy (Passaggi Onlus), within the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2
Transnational youth initiative ( Strategic partnership in the field of education
, training and youth). These 2 European organizations active in the field of
youth are developing a common activity programme, driven and developed by young
people, in order to contribute to promoting the participation of young people
from different European regions through the implementation of youth projects of
social entrepreneurship, which contribute to promoting enterprise skills and
attitudes that promote active citizenship and entrepreneurship among youth.
Now, in the intermediate
phase, each partner is developing social entrepreneurship initiatives in their
communities according with the Guidelines developed by Asociación Gantalcalá:
"Guide for Young Social Entrepreneurs": It contain the most important
aspects for the design, development and implementation of social projects in a
practical way. This document developed initially by the Spanish youngsters
involved in the project, and after the transnational meeting to be held in
September 2015, it will be amended by the contributions of youngsters from
other countries. The role of the managers is to stimulate and guide the
youngsters. The task for the partners in this stage
will be to support to the youngster for develop their own local initiatives.
A Youth initiative is a project initiated,
set up and carried out by young people themselves. It gives young people the
chance to try out ideas through initiatives, which give them an opportunity to
be directly and actively involved in planning and carrying out a project.
Participation in a Youth Initiative is an important non-formal learning
experience. While implementing a Youth Initiative, young people have the
opportunity to address specific challenges or problems encountered in their
communities.
After develop these social initiatives in each country, those young people of all nationalities involved in
the project, will have the opportunity
to take part in a Learning Activity that will take place in Seville in
September 2015 , where in an intercultural environment , they can share their
experiences in social entrepreneurship projects with other young Europeans. In
this Learning Activity they will get knowledges about the new Erasmus +
Programme aspects , NGOs and Social Entrepreneurship management , and the use
of ICT in project management activities.
They will develop activities to work the European citizenship and intercultural
dimension.
The methodologies and activities planned for the
project, based on the principles of non-formal education will contribute to the
educational process of young people by providing knowledge and experiences that
are not acquired in the formal education. They will develop their skills
through one of the aims of non formal education, "Learning by doing".
The project's objective is the creation of different
materials and products that could be used by other organizations at European
level. These materials will facilitate
the development of social entrepreneurship initiatives carried out by
youngsters. These materials are:
- "Guide for Young Social Entrepreneurs"
- "Guidelines of internal management"
- "Catalogue of Good Practices"
- Logo, posters and leaflets translated into 4
languages with information of the transnational initiatives.
- Audiovisual material.
Transfer project results to other people and
organizations potentially interested is expected. The results of the project
will be public and anyone interested in obtaining the products obtained in the
Project may download them through the Blog project.
Through the development of the
Blog and the Facebook Group for the project, is intended to move forward
with the participants and other persons or institutions interested in creating
a network of transnational cooperation, to enable future collaboration to scale
of European organizations dedicated to youth work.
